Investing Principles that Still Hold Water
The past year and a half or so has been very unusual, to say the least. Of course, the Covid-19 pandemic has been unlike anything anyone has ever experienced in our lifetime.
At the same time something that has occurred in the past (and will continue to occur in the future) has been investing “fads”. We’ve recently seen the rise and fall (and rise again?) of tech stocks, cryptocurrencies, meme stocks, cannabis stocks, etc., etc., and without a crystal ball its impossible to tell ahead of time what concepts will fail and which will stand the test of time.
